A strong performance at the Ranger Challenge Competition! The Fourth ROTC Brigade’s Ranger Challenge occurred this last weekend on Fort Pickett (VA). The Army ROTC Ranger Challenge is a premier, annual, and physically demanding team competition often called the "varsity sport" of Army ROTC. The App Ranger Challenge Team took on 44 other teams in the Brigade event. Teams were tested on Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Pistol Marksmanship, Rope Bridge Assembly, Protective Gear, Grenade Throwing, Weapons Assembly/ Disassembly, Reconnaissance, a Strength Challenge, a Timed Run, a 6-Mile Ruck and the team’s Ruck Time between each event. They came up short of the podium (4th), but a great effort by the App State Ranger Challenge team. On to the next competition- The Mountain Man Memorial March!
