Brigadier General John Evans, Appalachian State ROTC Distinguished Alumni (Class of 88), was selected as the next Commanding General, United States Army Cadet Command and Fort Knox, Kentucky. BG Evans is currently the Commanding General of US Army Special Operations Aviation Command at Fort Bragg. His assumption of Cadet Command will occur later this Spring.
