MAJ Sean D. Mack is currently the Logistic Technician and an Assistant Professor of Military Science in the 4/413th ROTC BN (USAR). He is originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina and currently resides in Boone, NC. Immediately prior to assuming this position he served as the Chief of Intelligence for Al Asad Air Base, Iraq.
MAJ Mack’s civilian and military education include: a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Recreation Management from Appalachian State University, graduate of the Joint Interrogation Management Course, Army Reconnaissance Course, Maneuver Basic Officer Leadership Course, and the Maneuver Captains Career Course, Military Intelligence Officer Transition Course and the Military Intelligence Captains Career Course.
MAJ Mack’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/2 OLC, Army Achievement Medal w/2 OLC, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device, Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon. MAJ Mack is also a member of the Order of the Silver Spur.
MAJ Mack began his military career as an enlisted Military Police Soldier, in the 30th HBCT, North Carolina Army National Guard, where he was promoted to Sergeant. His first officer assignment was as a tank platoon leader in 5th Brigade, 1st Armored Division (Army Evaluation Task Force), Ft. Bliss, TX. He has since served in various leadership and staff positions to include: Intelligence Officer, HUMINT/CI Section Leader, Company Executive Officer and numerous Battalion/Squadron S3 positions.
MAJ Mack is married with two children. They enjoy outdoor activities, physical fitness, and family time.
