Major (Ret) Tim Driscoll

MAJ (Ret) Tim Driscoll was born and raised in Thousand Oaks CA. In 1993, upon graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Army and served in both the 82d Airborne Division and the 25th Infantry Division (Light). In 1999, then SSG Driscoll, accepted a Green to Gold Scholarship to attend college at Appalachian State University. At ASU he majored in Business and was commissioned a Military Intelligence Officer in 2003. In 2007, MAJ Driscoll attended Special Forces Assessment and Selection and upon completion of the Special Forces Qualification Course was assigned to 3rd BN, 3rd Special Forces Group (ABN).

His duty assignments include:

  • Military Intelligence Officer, 3rd BN 10th Special Forces Group (ABN)

  • Aide de Camp, Director of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO), Washington, D.C.
  • Congressional Affairs Liaison, National Counter IED portfolio, Washington, D.C.
  • Operational Planner, 3rd Special Forces Group (ABN)

MAJ Driscoll's military education includes: Intelligence Officer Basic Course, Infantry Captains Career Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, Basic and Advanced Airborne School, Air Assault School, Survive Escape Resist and Evade-High Risk (SERE-C) and the Command and General Staff College residence course at Ft Leavenworth, Kansas.

MAJ Driscoll's awards and decorations include: The Silver Star, the Bronze Star Medal with "V", the Bronze Star Medal (2nd award), the Purple Heart, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with "V" the Army Commendation Medal (4th award), and the Meritorious Service Medal, the Special Forces Tab the Combat Infantryman's Badge Air Assault and the Master Parachutist Badge.
